Also known as sodium bicarbonate, this ingredient plays an important role in treating acne and also helps exfoliate your skin. Not only does oatmeal cleanse the pores on your skin but it also helps absorb the excess oil from the skin. Therefore, it is beneficial for treating acne. Moreover, it also exfoliates your skin.

Mix the juice of half a lemon, one cupful of cooked oatmeal, and a teaspoon of honey together. Apply this mixture on your skin and rub it gently. Let it remain on the skin for about half an hour and rinse with some lukewarm water. Follow this home remedy twice a week for a few weeks till you see the results.
Multani Mitti or Fuller’s Earth is good for skin that is prone to acne as it unclogs the pores and absorbs the excess oil from them. It also helps improve your complexion.
Equal parts of rose water, sandalwood powder, and Fuller’s Earth.
Mix all these ingredients together well. However, make sure you add some extra rose water if you want to get a better consistency of the paste. Apply this pack on your face. Wash it after it dries up. Follow this home remedy at least once every week.
Since lemon is acidic, it can be extremely useful in treating acne. In fact, lemon can remove the dirt from the pores of the skin and harden the sebum.

Tea tree oil
Tea tree oil is yet another remedy for acne. It disinfects the pores and acts like an antiseptic. It also kills the bacteria that cause acne. Simply apply tea tree oil on the affected areas thrice every day. If the application of tea tree oil that has not been diluted results in redness, skin irritation or over-drying, you should consider diluting it before applying it on the skin.
The Vitamin C present in oranges makes them the perfect home remedies for acne. You can use the peel as well as the juice of an orange to treat acne.
Dried peels of an orange
Take the peels of an orange that have been dried under the sun and grind them into a powder. Add some water to the powder to make a paste. Apply this paste on the affected areas and let it remain on the face or the skin for about five to ten minutes. Then, wash your face with some lukewarm water.
Aloe vera gel
The anti-inflammatory properties of Aloe Vera gel can not only soothe the skin but also treat acne. The gel prepared from Aloe Vera can also heal the scars caused by acne.
A few Aloe Vera leaves
Squeeze the gel out of the Aloe Vera leaves after cutting them in half. Apply this gel on the affected areas twice every day.
This herb is known to have antiseptic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties due to which it can be very useful in treating acne.
Some fresh fenugreek leaves
Grind the fenugreek leaves with some water. Apply this herbal paste on the affected areas and let it remain there for about ten to fifteen minutes. After some time, wash your face with some lukewarm water. Repeat the process for about three to four days or till your acne completely heals.
Neem or Indian Lilac is known for its antiseptic and antibacterial properties. In fact, it can also kill the microbes that cause acne and cure it completely. It also prevents pimple breakouts.

Prepare a paste by grinding some neem leaves or the Indian Lilac leaves with some water. Apply the paste on the affected areas. Let it remain on the skin for about twenty to thirty minutes. If you do not feel comfortable following this home remedy, simply apply some neem oil that you get in the market on the affected areas twice a week till you are able to see results.
Mint can remove the excess oil from the skin and prevent the clogging of the pores on your skin.
